2010 Corman Air Park Fly 'n Fair
June 30 and July 1, 2010, marked the fourth annual Corman Air Park Fly N' Fair.
This year the event was re-named the the Vern Rees Memorial Fly N' Fair in honour of the man that founded the event, who passed away in August of 2009.
The "702 Lynx" Air Cadet Squadron was out in full force again this year, taking care of parking and providing popcorn and water for the crowds.
They again performed a full dress uniform flag ceremony to honour Canada Day, followed by a miniute of silence in memory of Vern.
The Antique Tractor boys were back with lots of vintage machines. They did sod turning demonstrations along with a mini parade and lots of stationary displays.
New additions this year included antique car displays, aircraft fabric covering and rib stitching demonstrations and a very popular "Alina's Beer Garden" that quenched many a thirst during the hot two days.
A big hit this year was the "Saskatoon Rocket Society" displays and twice daily launches of model rockets, ranging from very small to monsters several feet in length.
And of course the ever popular and spectacular Fireworks display on the evening of June 30.
Everyone had a great time and we are all looking forward to next year!
